Who Are we?
Founded in 1990 by Randall Shoker as Shoker Investment Counsel, Inc., Shoker Investments has been a fee-only money manager from its inception. After working as a stockbroker in the 1980’s, Randy sought out a better way to work with clients, one that didn’t create incentives to offer biased advice. By eliminating every form of compensation except for a fee paid directly by the client, Shoker Investments is free to provide objective counsel without deriving any benefit based on how your money is invested.
Randy Shoker
President and Chief Investment Officer
As the founder and President of Shoker Investments, Randy has been with the firm since the beginning in 1990. Starting his career in 1985 as a stockbroker, Randy disliked the implications of selling clients financial products, so he founded Shoker Investments as a fee-only money management firm.
Randy holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Oxford, Ohio and have four children and seven grandchildren. Some of his hobbies include building model ships, decorating birthday cakes for his grandkids, trap shooting, and tending to his garden and trees.
Anne Bandy
Operations Manager
Anne has been with Shoker Investments since 2010. In the time since, she has made countless contributions towards improving our clients experience. Anne moved back to the Cincinnati area in 2008 after spending 13 years in her parent’s native Scotland, a home away from home that she likes to visit every year.
Anne graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Montclair State University, and currently lives in Hamilton, Ohio with her husband, Todd, and their son. In her free time, Anne enjoys spending time with family & friends, cooking & gardening.
Alexander Shoker
Portfolio Manager
Alex joined Shoker Investments in May of 2019. Graduating with a BS in Economics from Hillsdale College in 2010, Alex moved back to Ohio a few years ago to be near family after spending eight years in the corporate SaaS industry, working in both New York and Denver.
Alex currently lives in Oxford, Ohio with his wife, Lauren, their three sons, and their three dogs. In his free time, Alex likes enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, target shooting, and playing chess.
Mandy Hinkley
Executive Assistant to Randy Shoker
Mandy became a member of the Shoker Investments team in 2022. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wright State University. Since graduation, Mandy has held corporate and small business support jobs.
Mandy lives in the Oxford area with her husband, children, and many animals. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors, wood working, and crocheting.
